Feline Adoption Application

This application is subject to approval. Animals for Life is a private rescue organization and reserves the right to deny your application if it feels this would be in the best interest of the animal.

Please answer all questions to the best of your ability. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The information you provide will be verified by an Animals for Life volunteer. If your application is accepted, an Animals for Life adoption coordinator will contact you. We receive multiple applications for each animal to allow us to find the best placement.

If you do not receive a call within 10 days, please assume your application was not accepted.

Please Note:

We are a Connecticut-based organization. We do not adopt cats outside of the State of Connecticut.
You MUST be 21 years of age or older to apply for adoption.
For renters: We require written permission from your landlord or management company stating that you are allowed to have pets in your home.
For applicants 67 years old or older: In order to have the best long-term outcome for both the adopter and the cat, please provide a detailed plan for how to ensure your adopted cat will be cared for should a catastrophic event happen and you are no longer able to care for them. Please include contact info for the people involved in your care plan so we may contact them. The people involved in your care plan will also be subject to a veterinary reference check.
